Quilt Amish /Amish Quilt

Demult imi doream sa fac un quilt Amish si in sfarsit am inceput unul. M-am inspirat pentru alegerea modelului de aici.

I have finally started making an Amish quilt which I have been planning for a long time to make. This is where I have found the inspiration.

Am facut topul, apoi sandwichul si pe urma am ales ca model de quilting pentru patratul central o "coronita de pene". Fiindca modelul e prea complicat ca sa-l fac cu o cusatura libera, fara marcaj, am imprimat modelul pe hartie de copt :)) pe care am prins-o in bolduri pe quilt si am cusut prin ea.

I made the top, the sandwich and then I chose as a quilting pattern for the central square, a feathered wreath. As the pattern is too intricate to be quilted in free motion without any marking, I printed the pattern on a baking paper, I pinned it on the quilt and I started quilting.

Am continuat sa matlasez suprafetele mov cu un model desenat de mine cu un marker temporar. Apoi am matlasat triunghiurile negre cu un model de caroiaj.

I went on quilting the violet sashing following a pattern drawn by me with a temporary marker. Then I quilted the black triangles with a grid pattern.
